4.2.4 Semaphore area
This area is used to issue requests from the S controller for operating the DN611 in a
specific way, or for reading the DN611's response to a request. The addresses shown in
Figure 4-14 are the word addresses as viewed from the S controller.

(1) Request register (03FFH: 1 word): S controller
DN611
This register is used to notify the DN611 of a request, if issued by the S controller.
After writing "1" in the request flag register, the S controller ladder program writes
"256(0100H)" in this register.
0: No notice.
256: Notice
After reading a request in the request area, the DN611 sets this register to "0."
(2) Request flag register (03FDH: 1 word): S controller
DN611
This register is used to issue a request from the S controller to the DN611. After
writing request data in the request area, the S controller ladder
program writes "1" in this register.
0: No request.
1: A request is issued from the S controller to the DN611
Other than 0 and 1: Reserved
The DN611 sets this register to "0" after reading a request in the request area.
(3) Acknowledgement flag register (03FCH: 1 word): DN611
S controller
This register is used to notify the S controller of the DN611's response after the S
controller issues a request to the DN611.
