4.3 Requests to the DN611
Use of a user function block combining MREAD and MWRITE instructions simplifies the
program in controlling the DN611 and performing data input/output with the S controller.
This section describes user function blocks for different types of requests (there are six of
them) that the S controller issues to the DN611.
The six types of requests are classified into those executable and those not executable,
depending on the DN611's operation mode, which is explained in 4.3.1 DN611 operation
modes. Table 4-12 shows the relationship between the different types of requests and
operation modes. The different types of requests are explained in detail in 4.3.2 Reset
request.
The internal descriptions of the user function blocks explained in this section are given in
Appendix C. For the procedures of preparing and registering user function blocks, refer
to the Engineering Tool - Basics (6F8C0875) or Engineering Tool Online Manual.
The six types of user function blocks explained in this section are scheduled to be
registered in the Engineering Tool Version 1.5 up.
: Request possible
: Request is possible, but error response may result depending on the down cause.
See Table 4-4 Down Information for the possible down causes.
× : Request impossible. A request, if issued, will result in error response. The error codes are
explained in 4.5 Completion Status.
