6. COMMISSIONING
The solid tyre press may only be commissioned by instructed or certified
personnel, and according to the regulations described in these instructions.
Only certified persons may connect the solid tyre press. Ask your dealer for the
hydraulic and/or electrical diagrams. Prevent wrongly connected pipes or incorrect
wiring at all times. This can result in life-threatening situations!
Only people who work with the solid tyre press may be in the vicinity of the device.
Other people must keep a minimum distance of 3metres.
Ensure proper earthing of the control cabinet.
The following information is provided for the technician who commissions the
product. Request the electrical and hydraulic diagrams for a correct commissioning.
6.1. Connecting to the mains
1. The machine is already equipped with all the wiring.
Attach a plug to the power cable because the solid tyre press cannot be directly
connected to the power supply.
2. If you are working with solid tyre press 161TA6945, the solid tyre press must be
connected to a 3x380-volt power supply. If you are working with 161TA6944, the solid
tyre press must be connected to a 3x220-volt power supply.
The components in the switch box, such as the switches and the power supply,
onlywork with a 380V or 220V mains supply (depending on your type of device).
The AC motor is built to operate in a delta connection.
Please refer to the electrical schematic.
6.2. Testing the solid tyre press
Before using the device, we strongly recommend that you test the solid tyre press.
1. Turn on the main switch.
2. Turn the STOP button to the right to switch on the power.
3. Press the START button to start the motor and keep it
depresseduntil the green light is on.
4. Check that the motor turns in the direction of the arrow.
