The Trojan TR 1200 Treadmill is a home-use fitness equipment designed to provide a convenient and effective way to engage in regular exercise. This manual outlines its functions, assembly, operation, and maintenance, emphasizing safety precautions throughout.
The TR 1200 Treadmill offers a comprehensive workout experience with various functions to track and customize exercise routines. It displays key metrics such as Time, Speed, Distance, Calories, and Pulse, allowing users to monitor their progress effectively. The treadmill features both manual and pre-programmed modes, including 24 installed programs (P1-P24) that adjust speed and incline levels automatically. Users can also select countdown modes for time, distance, or calories, where the treadmill will gradually stop once the set target is reached.
A unique feature is the Body Fat Test mode, which calculates BMI based on user-inputted parameters (sex, age, height, weight). While this provides an indication, it's advised to consult a healthcare professional for accurate readings. The treadmill also incorporates an energy-saving mode, automatically entering a low-power state after 10 minutes of inactivity. For safety, a safety key function immediately stops the treadmill and resets all settings if removed.
The TR 1200 is Bluetooth® AUDIO ENABLED, allowing users to connect their devices and play music through the treadmill's speakers. Volume can be controlled via the console or the connected device. Additionally, it is FitSHOW APP ENABLED, integrating with the FitShow Sports App. This app tracks and stores fitness data, allows users to plan weekly and monthly exercise goals, and connects to the treadmill via Bluetooth. FitShow offers various sports modes, including natural scenery, sports courses, and program modes, and enables control of the treadmill's speed and incline directly from the device. It also supports customized training plans and an outdoor mode using GPS to track activities like running, cycling, and climbing. The app integrates with third-party applications like Kinomap and ZWIFT for enhanced training experiences.
The treadmill offers a user-friendly interface with a clear LCD display and intuitive controls. Quick start-up is achieved by placing the safety key and pressing "START," initiating a 3-2-1 countdown before the treadmill begins. Speed and incline can be adjusted using dedicated buttons on the console or the handlebars. The console also includes music control keys for volume adjustment and song changes.
The folding mechanism allows for convenient storage. To fold, the base frame is pulled up until a spring pin locks into position. Unfolding involves pushing the base frame slightly up and pulling out the spring pin on the air cylinder, allowing the running deck to lower automatically. Users are cautioned to unplug the power cord before folding or unfolding and to ensure no children or pets are in the way of the descending running deck.
The FitShow App integration enhances the user experience by providing personalized workout tracking, goal setting, and interactive training options. Users can register/signup and log in to save their workout history, create customized training plans, and explore various sports modes. The app allows for real-time control of the treadmill's speed and incline, and provides a full overview of training sessions, which can be saved for future reference.
General cleaning is recommended to prolong the treadmill's lifespan. Regular dusting and cleaning of the exposed parts of the deck, walking belt, and side rails are advised. Keeping running shoes clean helps prevent foreign material from accumulating underneath the walking belt.
The TR 1200 is equipped with a pre-lubricated, low-maintenance deck system. However, periodic lubrication of the running belt and deck is necessary to maintain optimal function and extend the treadmill's life. The recommended lubrication schedule varies based on usage:
Running belt tension adjustment is crucial for proper operation. The belt is designed to self-centre, but if it drifts to one side, adjustments can be made using the belt adjustment screws at the rear. Turning the right screw clockwise or the left screw counterclockwise by 90 degrees adjusts the belt if it moves to the right. Conversely, turning the left screw clockwise or the right screw counterclockwise by 90 degrees adjusts the belt if it moves to the left. If the belt becomes elongated or slips, tightening both screws by 90 degrees is recommended. If the belt is too tight, loosening the screws by 90 degrees on both sides is advised.
The manual also provides a comprehensive list of error codes (E01-E08) with corresponding main reasons and solutions, such as checking wire connections, motor issues, or sensor signals. For issues not covered in the manual, users are directed to contact Trojan Customer Services.
The Trojan TR 1200 Treadmill comes with a 2-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal, personal, family, or household use. Commercial use is expressly excluded. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, abuse, unauthorized modification, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear. All demo models have a 3-month warranty. For warranty claims or repairs, users are instructed to contact Trojan Customer Services and not return the product to the store.
