  If you hear a rubbing sound from your True Treadmill during operation, adjust the belt tracking, or inspect under the unit for any foreign objects stuck under the walking belt and remove them. If the walking belt is rubbing a straddle cover, adjust belt tracking. If the foreign object is stuck in the motor compartment, contact TRUE Fitness Customer Service Department.

Why is the heart rate on my True ALPINE RUNNER not displaying correctly?

  If the heart rate on your True Treadmill is displaying erratically or not at all, readjust the transmitter belt to ensure it makes full contact with your skin, and moisten the contacts on the belt. Make sure the transmitter belt is within 3 feet (1 meter) of the heart rate receiver. If the battery inside the transmitter belt is depleted, replace it. Ensure that no other user wearing a compatible transmitter strap is within 3 feet (1 meter) of the unit. If there is environmental interference from high voltage power lines, move the unit or the source of interference.

How to fix a True ALPINE RUNNER with no power?

  If your True Treadmill has no power, first, ensure the On/Off switch is in the ON position. Then, check the power cord at both the unit and the outlet to make sure it's fully plugged in. Next, use a voltmeter to verify that the outlet has power. Finally, check the circuit breaker located next to the On/Off switch to ensure it hasn't tripped; if it has, reset it. If the power cord is damaged, replace it.

  If you hear a rubbing sound from your True Treadmill during operation, it could be that the walking belt is rubbing against a straddle cover. In this case, adjust the belt tracking. See Chapter 5: Centering the Running Belt. Alternatively, a foreign object may be stuck under the walking belt. Inspect under the unit and remove any object that you find.

  If your True Treadmill walking belt is off center, it might be due to an uneven floor. Adjust the treadmill using the rear leveling feet. Also, you may need to adjust the belt tracking. See Chapter 5: Centering the Running Belt.

  If your True Treadmill is randomly resetting or pausing, here are a few things you can check: * Ensure the safety e-stop key is fully engaged. * Inspect the power connection at the unit and outlet. * Verify the output voltage from the 20A outlet with a voltmeter to ensure sufficient power. * Replace the power cord if it's damaged. If an error code is displayed on the console or 'No User Present' is on the screen, further action may be needed. User weight must be over 90lbs. Verify No User Present settings in console.
