6. Operating modes and operating settings (cont.)
6.3 Energy-saving functions
For an especially and energy saving operation of air curtain system(s) ca be activated special functions:
Temperature setback mode
With activated blow-out controller the air blow-out temperature will be adjusted normally at a programmbled
À[HGYDOXH
More effective is to make this nominal value changable, e.g. to follow the course of the day of outside tempera-
ture or the heating up of inside a mall area. Increases this reference temperature (value at noontime, intensive
solar radiation, interal heat generation), the air outlet temperature can lowered accordingly without accepting
restraints of the shielding effect or the comfort feeling in the scope of air curtain system.

Hereto as well as start values can be set (at which temperature process begins) and also a scaling of blow-out
temperature reduction in ratio to rising measured outside temperature.
6.4 SUMMER/WINTER mode
By WINTER switchover at menue 2 - settings can be switched between an operation with activated heating
battery (WINTER mode) or an operation without heating (SUMMER mode) manually.
For using this function a selenoid valve, electrothermal valve or athe anyway for controlling used motor-valve-
have to be installed.
At activating function WINTER mode the valve will be opened and is operated by the (if activated) controlling
process.
In case of SUMMER mode ithe valve is principially closed.
The functions SUMMER mode or WINTER mode can also be initiated by an associated BMS signal connec-
ted at the terminals 26/27 on the internal connecting board (PCB) - see also chapt. 10.1 - Internal connecting
board.
