TTL Air curtain systems - control and automation panel type Touch
10. Connecting device - start up (cont.)
10.2 Connecting control panel
Inside the controller is available one CAN bus
connection socket for the data line to air curtain
unit and several clambs for connecting an analogue
sensor and an outside sensor to display temperatu-
res at the screen (alternative to connection
at the internal connecting board (PCB)).
X3 1/ 2 analogue sensor (for volume controller,
instead of IR sensor)
X4 1/2 outside sensor (for temp. setback mode)
Bu1 bus connection (data wire)
Western-Modular, 6-wire
Bu2 USB socket for updating
10.3 Enable signals
The start of the air curtain system can set depending by an BMS enable signal (see menu 3.1.1 settings
- signal settings - DDC enable GLOBAL). The signal is to applicate to the terminals 16/17 at the internal
connecting board (PCB).
By these BMS enable the HAND mode can be involved or excluded by choosing in menu 3.5 (settings
- DDC enable manual mode)
.
10.4 Restart
A restart of the air curtain unit after a general shut-off in cause of a fault is depending on aknowledge-

Power interruption - in case of power interruption and suddenly recurrency of voltage a self-acting

te by choose of operation mode and the performance level or operating stage.
Motor fault - in case of motor fault (triggering of thermo contacts) the fault is to quit by shut-off the
air curtain unit with the OFF(0) button and to restart renewed. The motor fault will be collect statisti-
cally and is accessible by menu 2.1 (Statistics).
In case of recurring motor faults pleas contact the TTL service immidiately.
Shut-up after frost alert (only with a implemented frost alert thermostat) - a restart after frost alert

Note: the shut-up in case of frost alert prevents through the operation interrupt only a further lost of
heat from the already undercooled air curtain system.
Because of the circumstance that a frost alert usually is accompanied by a malfunction of the heating
supply system, the normalizing of temperatures at the heating battery and the restart of the air cur-
tain guaranties not that there is no frost demage entered at the heating battery.
We recommend strongly, after a frost alert case and following normalization of the heating supply to
inspect the unit of possible water leakage
