Section VIII – Re-Certication Troubleshooting Guide
For re-certication failures, the KANGAROO ePump enteral feeding pump display will list a set of two numbers. The top number indicates the actual failure whereas the bottom
number indicates the failure value. Using the re-certication failure codes table below the user can troubleshoot re-certication failures by cross-referencing the numerical read-
out on the failure screen with the linked failure listed in the table below
Description Code Probable Causes of Failure Min Max Input Units Output Units
Pass Fail 0 Another Test has failed Status Status
Timeout Code 39 N/A Special Code for premature failure, see description in Obtain Data screen section. Code Code
(Manual Tests) 1-4 The listed manual test was not completed (Buzzer, LED, Battery, MISTIC) Status Status
BuzzerVADC 5 If too low buzzer is too weak, if too high buzzer has short circuit or other circuit
board problem causing high buzzer feedback signal 35 200 Counts Voltage (V)
BuzzerFDAC 6 N/A 169 203 Counts Frequency (Hz)
USDryVADC 7 Water drops left in tube, or high ultrasonic sensor crosstalk 0 5 Counts Voltage (V)
