15 Warranty
15.1 Warranty period
Ucom devices have a 36-month warranty from date of purchase. The warranty on batteries is
limited to 6 months from date of purchase. The warranty excludes wear and tear or defects that
have only a minor effect on the value or function.
Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original receipt showing the purchase date and
device model.
15.2 Warranty processing
Send the defective device with the applicable receipt to a Ucom service centre.
If a fault occurs in a device within the warranty period, Ucom or an authorised service centre will
repair any defects caused by material or manufacturing defects free of charge. Ucom shall settle
the warranty claim be repairing or replacing the defective device or parts thereof at its discretion.
If the device is replaced, the colour and model may vary from the device originally purchased. The
start of the warranty period is determined by the original date of purchase. The warranty period
will not be extended if the device is repaired or replaced by Ucom or one of its authorised service
centres.
15.3 Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by improper use and defects arising from the use of non-original parts
or accessories not recommended by Ucom are not covered by the warranty.
Ucom cordless telephones have been designed to operate exclusively with rechargeable batteries.
Any damage caused by the use of non-rechargeable batteries is not covered by warranty.
The warranty does not cover any damage caused by external influences such as lightning, water,
fire or any transport damage.
The warranty shall be invalidated if the serial number of the device is changed, removed or
rendered illegible.
All warranty claims shall be invalidated if the device is repaired, modified or converted by the
purchaser or by unqualified service centres or those not officially recognised by Ucom.
