* The base microphone is located under the base. Position yourself as close to the base as possible.

Making a
call
1) Pick up the handset from the cradle.
2) Press [talk] .
3) Listen for the dial tone.
4) Dial the number.
OR
1) Remove the handset from the cradle.
2) Dial the number.

OR
1) Dial the number.
2) Press
[talk] .
1) Pick up the corded
handset.
2) Listen for the dial tone.

Note: To insert a two-second pause in the dialing sequence in standby, press
[redial/pause] .
A P appears in the display.
Receiving a
call
1) Pick up the handset from the cradle.
(If AutoTalk is on, the phone answers
automatically when you pick up the
handset from the charging cradle.)
2) Press
[talk] .
OR
If the handset is off the cradle, press
[talk] . (If AutoTalk is on, you can press
any key in the twelve number keypad.)
Press
[talk] .
Pick up the corded
handset.
Hanging Up
Press
[talk] or return the handset to the
cradle.
Press
[talk] .
Return the corded
handset to the base.
