In the case of a new or a cold engine, the engine may stall when the working tool drive is activated first few times. When the engine has
warmed up, this will no longer happen. If the working tool drive can not be started even after warming up the engine, make sure that there
is no fault per +(>.
2.4.2.3 MACHINE START AND TRAVEL
The travel is activated by B >p in D:? on the left handle. Push the lever to the handle, and the machine will
immediately move forward. Once you press the lever and the machine starts moving forward, adjust your walking speed to the machine
speed!
 The travel clutch is a belt one, you may press the clutch lever slowly – the machine will start moving smoothly, without
any jerking.

 Never back with the travel clutch lever pressed! Do not fight the machine.
2.4.2.4 MACHINE STOPPING
To stop the machine travel, release the lever on the left handle. The machine travel will stop; however, the working tool will continue
spinning. The working tool drive will only stop after you release the lever on the right handle. The automatic brake will stop the working
tool. Move the accelerator lever to its position ?") or >+Kper D: . To turn off an engine of a machine with its starter panel

 Do not let the engine running at its full speed or idling for a long time when the attached working tool drive clutch and
travel wheels drive clutch are OFF! The machine’s drive train parts (V-belt, belt pulley, coupling pulley, etc.) may get
damaged!
2.4.2.5 TRAVEL SPEED SELECTION
The machine features two forward speeds D:o . +BF+vm+n8 for dense, moist or tall growth, % ml"+ for thin, dry,
or short growth.

A speed change is made by moving the V-belt on the pulleys between the gearbox and the shaft per D:o . An instruction sticker with a
picture of the belts in the pulleys, gearbox, and shaft is attached to the top of the gear unit.

Procedure:
1) Loosen $ @ in D:>?
po
. Swivel $D(~ > up in the arrow direction and pull it out sideways to the rear.
Now, remove spring cotter pin and press % A %D(~(  ? located in the middle of the rear frame part,
till the cover releases and pops up from the $in the frame.
2) Remove the V-belt off the gearbox pulley to the right into the slot in the frame between the pulley and machine frame tube.
3) Slide the V-belt forward for about 1.5 cm, and then move it to the wedge groove in the shaft pulley per the selected gear. Check
visually and by touching whether the belt fits to the selected pulley groove.
4) Insert the V-belt into the groove in the gearbox pulley, corresponding to the selected gear. Visually make sure that the belt is
seated straight in the correct pulleys per the selected gear (see D: ). The belt must not cross!

76 Loosen the plastic nut with about 1 to 2 turns. There is a groove in the cover that allows the cover to be removed without unscrewing the plastic nut.
