Refrigerant Hose Installation
Cut hoses to desired length and crimp required fittings to the hoses. Once hoses have been cut,
install the quick connect couplings to hoses
When routing the hoses, ensure they do not touch sharp metal or moving
parts. A rubber grommet or similar protector should be used in any areas of
concern. Allow sufficient slack to avoid tight bends
• Attach or ensure proper O-rings are attached to coupling and oiled with
refrigerant oil
• Slide desired fitting firmly into hose
Note: If it is too difficult to slide in, use lubricant (ie. PAG refrigeration oil)
• Once the fitting is fully inserted into the hose, using the
AC crimping pliers , crimp the quick connects
• Make sure that two ends of the clips are aligned
after crimping
• Crimping may also be done to a fitting that is
already connected to a bulkhead or connection
