Testing and Starting the System
• Check the drain in the evaporator unit for any possible obstructions
•
Check all parts of the system for refrigerant leaks
• Check the connections and attach the main wires to the system power
• Turn system on checking high pressure for a minimum of 30 minutes, observe the cooling
performance and compare pressures to recommended usage (high pressure: 150 psi max,
after 30 minutes usage at 86F° outside)
• Check the current draw of the total unit, evaporator blower, compressor, and condenser
fan and compare to assumed power draws maximums
• Ensure all the components are tight and secure and the system operates without
excessive noise or vibrations
• Feel electric terminals for excessive heat or loose connections
Ensure that the refrigerant hoses and wires are secured and tight to prevent any
rubbing against sharp objects or moving parts. Keep hoses and wires away from any
extreme heat source (>200F°) such as the exhaust system
