Procedure 7. Export Media files
Do not power o the monitor or disconnect the USB drive until the export is complete. Files that do not
complete the export will remain on the monitor.
IMPORTANT
The system saves data to its internal memory. You can export the video recordings and snapshots from the
video monitor to a USB ash drive to view them on a computer. Optionally, the les can be encrypted during
the export.
1. Connect a USB-C drive to the monitor’s USB port.
2. Ensure the monitor is powered on, and then tap anywhere on the Home screen.
3. When the additional icons appear, tap the More button, and then tap the Settings button.
4. In the Settings menu, tap Media, and then tap Export.
5. Set the options as needed for Media, Date Range, After Export, and Encryption, and then tap Export.
Note: If you choose to encrypt the les, decryption software is also copied to the USB drive.
6. On the export conrmation screen, tap Yes.
7. If you chose to encrypt the les, enter a 9-digit encryption code, enter it again to conrm, and then tap
the Conrm button. The les are saved to the USB drive.
8. Connect the drive to a computer to view the les.
9. If you encrypted the les, continue to the next step.
If you didn’t choose to encrypt the les, you can copy and view the les normally and end this
procedure now.
10. Open the Verathon Decryption Application on the USB drive.
11. Choose the Input folder.
12. Choose the Output folder if needed.
Note: The default Output folder will be set to the same location as the Input folder.
13. Enter the Encryption Code that was set on the monitor during the le export, and then click Decrypt.
Once the decryption is complete, navigate to the Output folder to view the les.
Note: The encrypted les are not automatically deleted. If the Input and Output locations are the same,
the folder will contain both the encrypted and decrypted les.
