4000 Series GSM Audio Intercom with Proximity
Single short beep
followed by a short
double beep.
Fob/card presented to the expansion reader is
not programmed.
The fob/card requires programming into the GSM
PRO module.
No beeps. The onboard
reader is unresponsive.
The onboard reader has not been enabled
(regardless of whether fobs have or have not
been programmed).
Enable the onboard proximity reader.

BEEP REASON SOLUTION
Successive short beeps
lasting for the duration of
the relay time (“the door
is open or “the gate is
open).
Programmed access code entered via the
keypad, code is stored in GSM PRO.
None, this is normal.
Single long beep
(“invalid code).
Access code entered via the keypad not stored in
GSM PRO.
Access code requires programming into the GSM
PRO module.
Single long beep
(“invalid code).
Access code entered via the keypad is stored in
GSM PRO module however:
1. The code is assigned to an access level where
the keypad’s unit ID is incorrect, but the code
falls within the required timeband setting;
2. The code is assigned to an access level where
the keypad’s unit ID is correct, but the code
doesn’t fall within the required timeband
setting;
3. The code entered is only a temporary code.
Although the correct code is programmed in the
GSM PRO module check the following:
1. Conrm if the code has an access level
assigned to it, if so check the keypad’s unit ID is
assigned to that access level.
2. Conrm if the code has an access level
assigned to it, if so check the settings of the
timeband and conrm when the code should
be active for.
3. If a temporary code is programmed it may be
that the temporary codes validation time has
already expired and the code deleted from
the GSM (no further action required as this is
normal).
