4.3 System design3
Dual mode DHW heating with two DHW cylinders with Vitosolic 200
(particularly suitable for retrofitting in existing systems)
DHW heating without solar energy
DHW cylinder2 is heated by the boiler.
The cylinder thermostat with cylinder
temperature sensor6 of the boiler
control unit switches the cylinder loading
pump7.
DHW circulation pumpß (if installed) is
switched ON and relayering pumpß is
switched OFF to ensure that DHW
circulation takes place only via DHW
cylinder2.
DHW with solar energy
Solar circuit pump 4 is switched ON and
DHW cylinder1 is loaded, if a
temperature differential higher than
start−up temperature differential T
on
is
measured between collector temperature
sensor 2 and cylinder temperature
sensor3.
Pump 4 is switched OFF when:
H the actual temperature falls below
shutdown temperature differential T
off
H the electronic temperature limit (safety
shutdown at 90 ºC) set at the control
unit or that set at the high limit safety
cut−out (if required) is exceeded.
Relayering pumpß is started, if the
temperature differential between sensors
9 and qP is greater than the start−up
temperature differential T6
ON
or DHW
loading in conjunction with the auxiliary
function has been enabled (see page60);
the pump will be switched OFF, if the
actual temperature falls below shutdown
temperature differential T6
OFF
or if the
auxiliary function is terminated.
The DHW circulation covers both DHW
cylinders. This feeds the water heated in
DHW cylinder1 into DHW cylinder2. This
way, DHW cylinder2 is also heated by
solar energy.
DHW circulation pumpß (if installed) for
DHW cylinder2 is controlled by the boiler
control unit.
