greater than 50°: Overheating of motor
User standing on platform: Risk of falling
Operation by unsuitable operator: Risk of falling
Transporting more than one person: Risk of falling and of overheating of motor
6.1) Preliminary checks
Checks to be made before the stairlift is put into service.
Skill level: OS - Skilled operator committed by the manufacturer.

Efciency of emergency stop.
Safety devices: Check that the safety device is tripped, stopping the stairlift.
- Sensor edges
- Electric limit switches
- Over-run safety device
- Anti-crushing platform base
Power supply: 230 V - 5A - 50/60 Hz.
Earth connection: Check that the stairlift system’s earth line is connected to the
earth line of the mains system.
