Makesureyourwiresarelabeled.Ifnecessary,ndthe“otherend”connectionforeach
wireonyourfurnaceorairhandler(i.e.heatingorairconditioning)equipmentandnotethe
labelthere.
1.Fanoutwiressothattheyarealignedwiththeterminals.
2.Donotbunchwiresinfrontofthemountingplate.Feedanyslackbackintothewall.
Followtheseguidelinesforsafeandsecure
wireconnections:
• Useatleast2.5inchesofwireforeachof
yourconnectionstotheThermostat.
• Ifyoudonothaveenoughwire,splice
additionalwiretoallowenoughslack.
• Terminalsacceptwiresfrom16-22AWG.
• Remove1/8inchinsulationfromthetip
ofeachwire.
• Takecarenottodamagethelabelsfor
eachwire.
