HOLD FUNCTION11.
The HOLD function freezes the currently displayed measured value so that it can be read out or logged.
When checking live conductors, ensure that this function is deactivated at the start of the
test. Otherwise, a false reading will result!
To activate the HOLD function, press the HOLD button; a signal tone confirms this action, and “HOLD”
appears on the display.
To deactivate the HOLD function, press the EXIT button or turn the rotary switch.
REL∆ FUNCTION12.
The REL function allows a reference measurement to be made to avoid possible line losses such as
those occurring during resistance measurements. For this purpose, the currently displayed value is set
to zero.
Press the “REL∆” button to activate this measurement function; “∆” appears on the display.
The value measured when “REL∆” has been pressed is used as a reference value and is shown on the
right subdisplay. The actual measured value is shown on the left subdisplay. The difference between the
actual measured value and the reference value is shown on the main display (12).
Automatic measuring range selection is thereby deactivated. To switch off this function, press the EXIT
button.
INTERFACE13.
On the back of the measuring device is an integrated optical interface (9) that can be used to transmit the
measurement data to a computer for further processing.
Establish the interface connection with the supplied RS232 data cable using a free COM port on your
computer.
An optical USB interface adapter is optionally available.
Slide the wedge-shaped adapter from above into and flush with the housing slot on the measuring
device.
Install the supplied software.
