se of fault : Measure thro ttl e swi tch r es istance di-
rectly to esta bli sh whe th er fault is in
wiring or sw itch itself.

Check
throttle switch setting
Open thro ttl e sligh tl y and listen to sw itch. Click sh ou ld
be heard ( as i dling contacts ope n) imm ediately thro ttl e
opens.
Adjustment
Loosen mou nt ing screws (3 mm All en screws).
Turn sw itch slightly clockw ise.
Turn
sw i tch back counte r clockw ise until click is hea rd
from contacts. Ti ghte n screws.
Check
adjustment.

Check load signal from fuel system control unit
R emove panel unde r ri gh t-hand side of instrume nt
panel and panel at right -hand side of bulkhead. Re-
move glove co m partmen t. Undo fuel system co nt rol
unit connector.
Measure resistance
between ign it ion syst em co nnec-
to r t ermina l 8 ( yellow) and fuel sys tem co nn ector ter-
minal 25 (yellow ). Ins tr ument should r ea d 0 ohm,
o
th e rw ise lead is open - circuited . Check connecto rs as
per wiring diagram .
If fault persists
al t houg h lead is intact, inte rn al fault is
present in
one of control units .
Replace panels
and glove compa rtm ent .
