Anti-siphon valve
An anti-siphon must be installed in cases where the
engine
is mounted so far down in the boat that the dis-
tance between the exhaust pipe flange (lower edge)
and the waterline is less than 200 mm (8”) (A). If the
valve is correctly installed, siphoning of water into the
engine will be prevented.
The anti-siphon valve must be installed at least 500
mm (20") (B) above the waterline of a loaded boat.
The valve is not supplied by Volvo Penta.
