  If your VTech Cordless Telephone isn't working at all, there are several things you can check: * Ensure the batteries are correctly installed and charged. * Verify the power adapter is securely plugged into an outlet that isn't controlled by a wall switch. * Confirm the telephone line cord is firmly connected to both the telephone base and the wall jack. If those steps don't work, try these: * Unplug the telephone base from its power source, wait 15 seconds, and then plug it back in. * Remove and re-insert the batteries. * Disconnect the telephone base from the wall jack and plug in a known working telephone to test the jack.
