Select program
Using this button, a stored or recently used PCR protocol can be selected and loaded. Also, the
Protocol Wizard can be used to create new Protocols.
New program
By selecting this button, program options can be adapted
. A program name must be defined.
Author name or comments may be entered on an optional basis.
New Cycler program
The adjoining window appears and the
necessary information (Author and
Comment) can be entered or changed
in the dialogue window.
Power Fail Denaturation
If 'Power Fail Denaturation' will be
activated the
adjoining dialogue appears:
If a power failure happens while a program is running
the thermal cycler will restart the program at the
point it was stopped as soon as power is restored
(Auto restart after power failure).
Additionally, if the option 'Power Fail Denaturation' is
activated the thermal block will heat to the stated
temperature for the set time before continuing with
the program.
Global Program Ramp
Using this Checkbox,
a global ramp rate in °C/s can
be programmed. This global ramp rate will be used in
all temperature and gradient steps of the PCR
program but
could be changed in a single
temperature or gradient step manually by entering
the desired value at the step.
