TailGUARDMAX
– Mount 6 LIN ultrasonic sensors vertically in two levels.
Only if the 6 LIN ultrasonic sensors are mounted on the vehicle in the arrange-
ment shown in the following will the system meet all requirements of ISO 12155
(Obstacle detection device during reversing).
Both levels follow the same install guidelines:
– Install the external LIN ultrasonic sensors 446 122 402 0 / 446 122 404 0 in-
clined (15°) towards the inside.
– Install the LIN ultrasonic sensor 446 122 401 0 (0°) centrally.
Distance LIN ultrasonic sensor 1 (left) – LIN ultrasonic sensor 2 (right):
The LIN ultrasonic sensors on the main level must be installed with spacing of
180 cm.
The main level must be installed at a height of 90 cm from the ground.
The additional level must be installed at a height of 40cm from the ground.
A Trailer Remote Control must be installed in the driver's cab.
