4.01.03 Checking EMERGENCY STOP function

Full braking!
Danger of injuries due to strong braking force.
■
Activate EMERGENCY STOP only in the event of danger.
■
Do not use the EMERGENCY STOP as operation brake.

Function test when engine at
standstill (daily)
Carry out functional tests with the diesel engine running and the work
functions (e.g. vibration) switched on.
1. Press EMERGENCY STOP [302] when engine at standstill.
The machine:
■
switches off the working functions.
■
Shuts down the diesel engine.
Function test during driving
operation (yearly)
Carry out functional tests with the diesel engine running and the work
functions (e.g. vibration) switched on.
1. Press EMERGENCY STOP [302] with low speed 0.5 km/h (0.3 mph).
The machine:
■
Stops immediately.
■
switches off the working functions.
■
Shuts down the diesel engine.
