6.9.1 COMMISSIONING IN CONNECTION WITH THE POWDER CENTER
Work steps:
1. Set pressure on pressure regulator 1 (piston air KV) in the control cabinet
(factory setting 0.3 MPa; 3 bar; 43.5 psi).
Setting value:
– 0.2-0.4 MPa; 2-4 bar; 29-58 psi for use in powder center
(up to 20 m; 66 ft feed hose length).
– 0.3-0.6 MPa; 3-6 bar; 43.5-87 psi for feeding from BigBag
(20-50 m; 66-164 ft feed hose length).
2. Set pressure on pressure regulator 2 (blow-out air AL) in the control cabinet
(factory setting 0.3 MPa; 3 bar; 43.5 psi).
Setting value:
– 0.2-0.4 MPa; 2-4 bar; 29-58 psi for use in powder center
(up to 20 m; 66 ft feed hose length).
– 0.3-0.6 MPa; 3-6 bar; 43.5-87 psi for feeding from BigBag
(20-50 m; 66-164 ft feed hose length).
The precise setting of the blow-out air is used to obtain an even powder ow.
Blow-out air which is set too high, results in excessive dust in the target tank.
3. Set DIP switches in the control cabinet (for settings see Chapter 7.5.1).
6.9.2 COMMISSIONING AS TRANSFER PUMP BIGBAG
When commissioning the powder pump as a transfer pump or for hose lengths over 20 m;
66 ft, in contrast to Chapter 6.9, the following settings must be made as described below.
Work steps:
1. Increase pressure on pressure regulator 3 (control pressure inlet/outlet valves) in
control cabinet from 0.37 MPa; 3.7 bar; 53.7 psi (factory setting) to 0.4 MPa; 4 bar;
58 psi.
2. Set DIP switches in the control cabinet (for settings see Chapter 7.5.1).
