6.3 Intended use
This charger charges the 28 V Li-Ion baery that was supplied with the baery appliance for
the M28/V28 system. This appliance may only be used as specied and intended.

Only connect to single-phase alternang current and only to the mains voltage specied
on the rang plate. It can also be connected to sockets without an earth contact as it is built
in accordance with protecon category II.

For safety reasons, the baeries are discharged when they are delivered (air transport
regulaon). The baery must be charged completely before rst use.
LED charging status indicaon
If the baery is not used for a longer period of me, it switches to idle mode. The baery must
be re-acvated (charged) in order to be used again.
The charging status can be checked by pressing the buon on the baery (see illustraon).
The baery can remain in the baery tool for this but the baery tool must be switched o at
least 1 minute before (otherwise the indicaon will be inaccurate). The number of
illuminated LEDs indicates the charging status.
As a maer of principle, the following applies: If the baery tool does not work aer inserng
the baery, plug the baery into the charger to check it. The indicaons on the baery and
the charger then provide informaon on the baery condion.
You can connue to work with reduced power at lower temperatures. To ensure that the
appliance is ready to use, the baery must be fully
charged aer use.
