5. Place the magnetic gauge on both end of the cutter shaft, over one of the knives. Gauge magnetic
feet should adhere to the shaft. Set the desired knife height on the scale. Tighten the scale
adjustment bolt. Loosen all mounting strip bolts. Magnets should pull up the knife to the desired
height.
See Figure 4-9.
6. Tighten all mounting strip bolts starting from middle of the cutter, to the outside.
7. Place the alignment tools over the remaining knives and repeat the adjustment procedure described
above.
DANGER! Make sure that all mounted knives are aligned identically.
If they are not, it will cause vibrations of the cutter, resulting in personal
injury.
DANGER! Make sure that there are no tools left inside the cutter
housing or on the frame.
DANGER! Make sure that all knives mounting strips bolts are securely
tightened.
To remove the knife from the cutter, loosen the mounting strip bolts. Carefully remove the knife.
DANGER! Be very careful when loosening the mounting strip bolts of
the knives already mounted, because the spring can push out the knife
rapidly, causing injury.
