FRONT FORK
TIP
For MTN890D:
When installing the front fork legs, make sure
that the letters on the cap bolts are positioned
within the angle range shown in the illustration.
3. Check:
• Cable routing
TIP
Make sure the brake hoses, clutch cable, and
handlebar switch leads are routed properly. Re-
fer to “CABLE ROUTING” on page 2-15.
4. Adjust:
• Spring preload
• Rebound damping
• Compression damping

LEGS (for MTN890)” on page 3-21 and “AD-
JUSTING THE FRONT FORK LEGS (for
MTN890D)” on page 3-23.
