ERROR
MESSAGES

No
machine
is
unlimited,
and
from
time
to
time
the
RX21's
LCD
may
present
you
with
an
error
message
indicating
—
that
something
has
gone
wrong,
Or
that
you
have
made
an
operating
error.
These
error
messages
are
as
follows:

Cause:
The
RX21
memory
backup
battery
voltage
is
between
1.5
and
2.2
CHANGE
BATTERY!!
V.
Solution:
Change
battery
as
soon
as
possible
(contact
your
local
Yamaha
dealer).
Press
+1/YES
to
return
LCD
to
normal
display.

Cause:
The
RX21
memory
backup
battery
voltage
is
equal
to
or
less
than
NO
BATTERY!!!
1.5
V.
Solution:
Change
battery
immediately
(contact
your
local
Yamaha
dealer).
Cause:
With
the
RX21
switched
to
“CH
INFO
AVAIL”,
and
being
“played”
==
RX
BUFFER
FULL!
by
a
MIDI
keyboard
or
sequencer,
you
tried
to
input
too
much
in-
formation
(notes
too
rapid,
and/or
too
many
RX21
instruments
played
simultaneously).
This
overloads
the
RX21
Buffer,
and
causes
it
to
go
out
of
sync.
Solution:
Input
less
data
(less
rapid
notes
and/or
less
RX21
instruments
played
simultaneously).

1:
You
tried
to
edit
one
of
the
preset
patterns
(numbers
56—99).

Solution
1:
Copy
the
preset
pattern
(see
the
PATTERN
COPY
section)
into
а
programmable
pattern
number
(00—55)
and
edit
the
copied
pattern.
Cause
2:
You
tried
to
copy
a
pattern
onto
a
preset
pattern
number.
Solution

Copy

pattern

programmable
pattern
number

3:
You
tried
to
clear
a
preset
pattern,
or
clear
one
instrument
in
a
preset
pattern.

by

operation
on
a

Solution

way.

if

wanted
to
alter

by
carrying
out
a
Beat
Exchange
operation,
copy
it
into
a
program:

and

on
the
copied
pattern.
