4. Calculate:
● Piston-to-cylinder clearance
Out of specification → Replace the
piston, piston rings and cylinder as a
set.
Cylinder and piston combination
Select the appropriate piston to match the
cylinder size by the table as follows.
NOTE:
New cylinder bore size = 80.000 + a/1,000
Example: a = 12 → 80.012 mm.

1. Measure:
● Side clearance
(with a thickness gauge 1)
Out of specification → Replace the

0.03–0.05 mm (0.001–0.002 in)
