15. G-code (Group20)
A. Cross machining control axis
1. Command
Axis control of TR2 side by TR1 side or that of TR1 side by TR2 side is referred to as
cross machining control. Cross machining control axis is specified by G110 and G111.
Specify after G110 an axis address and the TR number controlling the axis.
X1: X-axis controlled by TR1 (Upper turret)
X2: X-axis controlled by TR2 (Lower turret)
Z1: Z-axis controlled by TR1 (Upper turret)
Z2: Z-axis controlled by TR2 (Lower turret)
C1: C-axis controlled by TR1 (Spindle 1 C-axis)
C2: C-axis controlled by TR2 (Spindle 2 C-axis)
2. Sample
(Operation at TR1 side)
G110 X2
G00 X10. Z10.
G110 Z2
G00 X20. Z20.
G110 X1 Z1
G00 X30. Z30.
--- Changed to X-axis of TR2
--- X of TR2 moves to 10, Z of TR1 moves to 10.
--- Changed to Z-axis of TR2
--- X of TR2 moves to 20, Z of TR2 moves to 20.
--- Changed to X-axis and Z-axis of TR1
--- X of TR1 moves to 30, Z of TR1 moves to 30.
3. Notes
As long as an axis in direct relation to tool movement is controlled for cross machining,
do not change tools (by M6).
Synchronous feed with, or control of feed per, revolution of the milling spindle is not
available during cross machining control.
The alarm CROSS MACHINING IMPOSSIBLE will be caused when a command for
cross machining control is given under one of the following incompatible modal
conditions.
Nose radius/Tool radius compensation
Polar coordinate interpolation
Cylindrical interpolation
Fixed cycle
3-D coordinate conversion
Tool tip point control
