1.1.1 Overview
When trouble occurs in Ethernet communication, the important issue is to recover normal system operation as
soon as possible by finding the cause of the trouble and taking the necessary measures.
The overview of troubleshooting on occurrence of trouble is as follows.
Step 1
Check the following points. (Refer to Chapter 1.)
• Ethernet cables and Ethernet communication modes
• LED indications at the front of the Ethernet Module and on the Ethernet connector
Step 2
Check the connection to MPE720.
When connection cannot be established
When connection can be established but mes-
sage communication is not possible
Step 3
Check the settings for the connection to
MPE720. (Refer to Chapter 2.)

Check the switch settings. (Refer to 3.2 Check-
ing Switch Settings.)
Step 4
In the module detail definition window of
