Communication wiring is faulty.
• Check for wiring errors.
• Correct the wiring.

An existing short circuit or communications
disconnection
Check disconnected cables and short circuits and repair as needed.
Programming error on the master side. Check communications at start-up and correct programming errors.
Communication circuitry is damaged.
• Perform a self-diagnostics check
• If the problem continues, replace either the control board or the
entire drive. For instructions on replacing the control board, contact
Yaskawa or your nearest sales representative.
Termination resistor of the MEMOBUS/
Modbus communications is not enabled.
Set DIP switch S2 to the ON position to enable the termination
resistor on a drive located at the end of a network line.

Drive is not compatible with the option
software version.
Turn off the power and upgrade the communication option
parameters.
Note: An alarm is triggered when the option software version is
earlier or an incompatible option is installed to the drive.
