The pipe plug has straight threads, and
could fall into the reservoir.
5. Remove the cap on the ll tube and run the cool-
ant pump to verify the level in the ll tube.
6. Make sure the coolant level in the VSD cooling
system is 1/2 in. (2 cm) from the top of the ll
tube while running.
7. Run the pump by placing the chiller in SERVICE
mode. Refer to SECTION 6 - OPERATION.
8. Add new coolant, if necessary.
9. Reinstall the cap before stopping the coolant
pump to avoid overowing the ll tube when the
coolant pump is turned off. The coolant system
holds about 2 gallons (7.6 L) of coolant.
Preventive Maintenance
It is the owner's responsibility to fulfill the necessary
daily, monthly and yearly system maintenance require-
ments to keep the unit operating at its peak efficiency.
Follow the maintenance schedule in Table 43 on page
131.
If a unit fails due to improper mainte-
nance during the warranty period, John-
son Controls will NOT be liable for costs
incurred to return the system to satisfac-
tory operation.
