Serial Port (RS232) Wiring
The RS232 serial port on the rear of the test is a valuable tool to collect test results. The serial connection is a
simple ‘three wire cable’.

The RS232 connections are screen printed on the rear of the tester.
GND = Ground
Rx = Receive
Tx = Transmit
The mating connector is removable and is held in place by a friction fit. The orange buttons are a
spring catch release that will hold the connection wires. To insert a wire depress the orange button
while inserting the stripped wire until it meets the bottom of the connector. The wires should be
stripped back with 8mm bare wire.
