2. Hold the new battery pack by the side tabs and insert it into the
back of the AED, lining up the notch on the end of the battery with
the corresponding shape in the battery well until it clicks into place.
The AED issues a BATTERY REPLACED prompt and automatically ini-
tiates a self test.
3. Verify that the ZOLL AED 3 defibrillator issues the UNIT OK voice
prompt and that the green check (
) appears in the status indicator
window. This prompt indicates that the new battery pack and
defibrillation pads are properly installed and that the AED is ready
for service.
