Replacing the Battery Pack
When the defibrillator displays the CHANGE BATTERY message, replace
the battery with a new battery pack as soon as possible. Before replacing
a battery pack, verify that the defibrillator is turned off and the battery
pack being installed has not passed its “install by” date.
1. Place your fingers in the wells of the battery compartment and
squeeze the battery side tabs to pull out the battery.
NOTE Properly dispose of the old battery.
WARNING! To ensure the ZOLL AED 3 defibrillator is ready for use,
monitor its status weekly. Verify that the AED has
passed its periodic self test by confirming the green
check is displayed in the status indicator window
