This chapter introduces cluster management.
25.1 Introduction to Cluster Management
Cluster Management

allows you to manage switches through one switch, called the cluster manager. The switches
must be directly connected and be in the same VLAN group so as to be able to communicate with one another.

Maximum number of cluster members 24
Cluster Member Models Must be compatible with ZyXEL cluster management implementation.
Cluster Manager The switch through which you manage the cluster member switches.
Cluster Members The switches being managed by the cluster manager switch.
In the following example, switch A in the basement is the cluster manager and the other switches on the upper
floors of the building are cluster members.
