Use this screen to set up file sharing using the ZyXEL Device. To access this
screen, click Network Setting > Home Networking > File Sharing.

Server Configuration
File Sharing
Services (SMB)
Select Enable to activate file sharing through the ZyXEL Device.
Share Directory List
Add New Share Click this to set up a new share.
# Select the check box to make the share available to the network.
Status This shows whether or not the share is available for sharing.
Share Name This field displays the share name on the ZyXEL Device.
Share Path This field displays the path for the share directories (folders) on the
ZyXEL Device. These are the directories (folders) on your USB storage
device.
Share
Description
This field displays information about the share.
Modify Click the Edit icon to change the settings of an existing share.
Click the Delete icon to delete this share from the list.
Account Management. This table uses Clarissa as an example for Username. If no users
have been created, these fields will appear empty.
Add New User
Click this only if you want to define a user name and a password
required to access the share - see 7.5.3.
Note: By default, everyone connected to the ZyXEL Device can
access the share. You only need to create users if you wish
to restrict access to the content on the share.
Active Select the check box to allow this user to access shares on your
network - see 7.5.3
Status This shows whether or not the user is able to access shares on your
network.
