Aastra Matra recommends setting the ports of Ethernet switches supporting SIP phones to ‘Auto-
negotiation’ mode; the same rule applies to the network cards of PCs connected to the phone.
Half-duplex mode, 10 or 100 Mb/s configuration may be used, because the phone will also return
to half-duplex mode.
Future SIP phones 53i, 55i and 57i will offer the choice of auto-negotiation / half or full duplex.
Attention :It is strictly forbidden to set the Ethernet switch and PC ports to full-duplex mode for use
with SIP phones 9112i, 9133i and 480i.
