5.3.5.7 Power supply
The ADS 150X is the power supply module of the main cabinet and expansion cabinet of the Aastra
XS12.
The mains power supply voltage has the following characteristics:
• Rated voltage: a format in 115V compatible with 110V, and a format in 230V compatible with
220V
• Tolerances: +/- 10%
• Frequency: 50 or 60 Hz
• Power: 100 W
An optional, external 48V backup battery can be installed (see Autonomy section).
The ADS 150X includes the following functional blocks:
• A 48V converter providing the following voltages:
• +5V / 5A
• -5V / 0.1A
• +12V / 0.15A. This value does not include the fan power supply current.
• -12V / 0,55A,
• -48V / 0,45A
• 70V / 0.06A ringer
• A 48V rectifier supplying a 3A current, used as follows:
• 1.35 A for the converter
• 0.90 A for the DECT telephone sets and base stations
• 0.75 A to charge a 7.5 Ah battery for 10 hours providing 4 hours autonomy to the
system
The rectifier can be connected to 115V or 230V, 50Hz or 60Hz main, according to the type of
ADS150X,
• A fan supplied with 12V DC by the converter draws the air through into the cabinet the left-
hand side.
Furthermore, the ADS150X generates an alarm in case of failure of the rectifier or of the converter.
