5.3.7.7 Power supply
The ADS350XL is the power supply module of the main cabinet and expansion cabinet of an Aastra
XL.
The mains power supply voltage has the following characteristics:
• Rated voltage: 120V or 230V compatible with 110V/220V
• Tolerances: +/- 10%
• Frequency: 50 or 60 Hz
• Power: 300W
An optional, external 48V backup battery can be installed (see Autonomy section).
The power supply module includes the following functional blocks:
• a 48V converter providing the following voltages:
• +5V / 13A and -5V / 0.5A
• +12V / 0.5A and -12 V / 0.25A
• -48 V / 1.9 A (DECT telephone sets and base stations)
• 70V / 0.2A ringer
• 25-50 Hz (symmetrical current)
• The 48V converter of the ADS350XL provides a 7A voltage that is used as the following :
• On the main cabinet
o 2.1A to feed the converter,
o 2.95A to feed the sets and the DECT stations,
o 1.95A to charge a 16Ah battery for 10 hours (providing 4 hours autonomy)
o Rectifiers of several power supplies can be connected in parallel. The rectifier
can be connected to a 120V or 230V (+/- 10%), 50Hz or 60Hz mains without
configuration,
• On expansion cabinet
o 1A to feed the converter,
o 4A to feed the sets and the DECT stations,
o 2A to charge a 16Ah battery for 10 hours (providing 4 hours autonomy).
o Rectifiers of several power supplies can be connected in parallel. The rectifier
can be connected to a 120V or 230V (+/- 10%), 50Hz or 60Hz mains without
configuration,
• 2 fans powered by 12V DC issued from the convertor are extraying airflow to the back of the
cabinet.
Furthermore, on AXL, the ADS350XL generates 4 types of alarms in case of failure:
• Rectifier alarm
• Converter alarm
• Fanning alarm
• Temperature alarm
