5.9.1 Automatic restart
Automatic restart of the system
The Aastra X series restart time depends on the number of installed cards. Measurements have been
performed on the Aastra X series in order to determine the maximum reloading and restart time: 2
minutes 30 seconds.
For an AXD:
The duplex switchover is around 40 seconds (MMI recovery, tone on traditional sets included)
The time to detect a problem on a RUCV card (in one of the expansion cabinets) is around 2
minutes
The time taken to switch over to duplex mode after a problem occurred in an expansion
cabinet is around 2 minutes 40 seconds (MMI recovery, tone on traditional sets included)
5.9.2 Backup and restitution duration
The backup and restitution duration explained below are the results of in-lab- tests with an average
configuration on AX Series:
Configuration Backup: depending on the site’s size from 5mn to 15mn
Configuration Restitution: depending on the site’s size from 5mn to 15mn
Reset: simple reset lasts 60 seconds, OS reset lasts220 seconds
Restart of the « by default » configuration: Reinstallation of « Total » mode configuration. : 5
minutes
+ OS restart of 220 seconds (+ 5 minutes before accessing on AMP).Don’t forget the
additional 60 seconds needed for the additional reboot mandatory to validate the test
partition
Restart of a customer’s configuration: Same procedure as the « by default » but an additional
duration could depend on the customer’s data (i.e. depends on the site’s size).
