PCM600 can be used for different purposes throughout the IED life cycle. A set of
special tools is available for different applications.
The applications can be organized into groups.
• IED product engineering
• IED communication engineering per protocol
• IED system monitoring
• IED product diagnostic
Symbol standard and naming style can be set in PCM600 by selecting Tools/Options/
System Settings. For further information regarding the system settings, see PCM600
online help.

A connectivity package is a software component that consists of executable code and
