Normal behaviour, no malfunction
Turbo-
charger
Minor uniform wear around the periphery of rotor components,
caused by slight local rubbing of adjacent components, is permis-
sible. The compressor blades and turbine blades are then short-
ened somewhat. Certain tolerances must be observed to avoid a
significant loss of efficiency.
If there is any doubt about the extent of rubbing, then an ABB
Turbocharging Service Station must be contacted.
Have a dimension check carried out by an ABB Turbocharging
Service Station.
