Thermal Module Installation 0
Apply suitable thermal grease and make sure all heat pads are in place before
replacing module
.
Thermal grease can damage mainboard. Use caution when applying.
The following thermal pad types are approved for use:
VGA Pads
EAPUS/PSX
Other Pads
Laird/Tflex 340
EAPUS/XR-HL
The following thermal grease types are approved for use:
I-Connoisseur/N302
Honeywell
1. Remove all traces of thermal grease from CPU using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab and
Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetone, or other approved cleaning agent.
2. Apply small amount of thermal grease to center of CPU (E). (Figure 3-68)
Force used during installation of thermal assembly is sufficient to spread grease over
CPU.

3. Align module to mainboard screw holes.
4. Install and secure screws (B1 to B4) in numerical order to mainboard. (Figure 3-67)
5. Install and secure screws (C5 to C6) to mainboard.
6. Install lower cover.
