(CHD) Risk Evaluation

If CHD is set to On during setup, the Mission
®
Cholesterol Monitoring System
will automatically evaluate a patient’s 10-year risk of Coronary Heart Disease,
based on the results of their 3-in-1 Lipid Panel test.
In the results screen for LDL, press ► to enter the CHD risk evaluation
screen.
Press to enter the evaluation method. There are four methods to choose
from: FRA10, PRO10, ACC10 and ACCLF.
FRA10 (CHD 10-year risk estimation based on Framingham Heart Study) is
popular in the United States and is suitable for both men and women ages
20-79 years old.
PRO10 (CHD 10-year risk estimation based on Procam method) is popular in
Europe and is suitable for men ages 35-65 years old.
ACC10 (CHD 10-year risk estimation by ACC/AHA) is a sex-specific and
race-specific modification based on FRA method, suitable for men and
women ages 40-79 years old.

ACCLF (CHD lifetime risk estimation by ACC/AHA) is suitable for men and
women ages 20-59 years old who are free from CHD and not at high
short-term risk.
