13 Remote control 2WIN App
When using the KALEIDOS system or simply when the operator wants to remote control a
2WIN, it is possible to use the remote control 2WIN App running on an Android tablet.
2WIN App provides WiFi connectivity; please refer to Chapter 14 if you want to use Bluetooth
connectivity between KALEIDOS and tablet.
The tablet shall satisfy the following requirements:
• Android version 8.0 or later
• Bluetooth version 4.0 Low Energy or later
• Display size 10 inches or more
• Processor type: ARMv7
Recommended tablet models are:
• Samsung Galaxy TAB A SM-T580
• Huawei MediaPad T5
• Lenovo TB-X605L
You can download 2WIN WiFi tablet Application on your device from Adaptica’s website in
the section Products > Kaleidos > Downloads > KALEIDOS App Wi-Fi.
WARNING! Tablet’s operating system updates are not recommended, since they
could compromise 2WIN App functioning.
13.1 2WIN App installation and configuration
In order to use the 2WIN App, either for 2WIN-S or 2WIN remote control, the device and
the Application must be paired for the first time.
Please follow these configuration instructions to pair 2WIN-S and the tablet Application:
1. Install the 2WIN App on your device and run the Application.
2. Switch the 2WIN-S on
3. Check that 2WIN and tablet are connected to the same WiFi network. If necessary,
set 2WIN’s WiFi connection following the instructions on Paragraph 11.2 – WiFi
Connectivity.
4. Enter 2WIN’s menu > Settings > Wireless > Connections and enable App Connec-
tion option.
