Expansion tank calibration
The expansion tank has a 1.5 bar stan-
dard pressure charge. The maximum
value is 6 bar.
The tank calibration must be adjusted
according to the maximum height diffe-
rence (H) of the terminal unit (Pict. 1) The
charge pressure of the expansion tank, in
bars, must be:
Calibration [bar] = H [m] / 10,2 + 0,3.
For example if the value of height diffe-
rence is 15 metres the expansion tank
calibration will be 1,8 bar.
If the calculation results below the stan-
dard calibration
(1.5 bar) no adjustment is required.
